At the Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono, every guest reservation is both important and special to us. Please read our Payment, Cancellation and Inn Policies.

Reservations and Minimum Stay

Reservations are required. Two consecutive night minimum required.

Payment Requirements

$50.00 Non-refundable advance payment/cancellation fee per room due 60 (sixty) days prior to arrival date.
Non-refundable, remaining balance due 15 fifteen days prior to arrival date*
*Exception: For the period of December 20 through January 2 annually, we require a non-refundable advance payment/cancellation fee equivalent to the total for one full room night.

Charges will process automatically to the credit card on file.  We accept only Visa or MasterCard.

Specific charge dates will be listed on an informational email sent within 72 hours of your confirmed reservation. Please remember to check your Spam/Junk Mailbox.

Cancellation Policy

A $50 nonrefundable advance payment/cancellation fee per room is due (sixty) 60 days prior to the arrival date. Exception: Advance Payment/Cancellation fee amount equivalent to one full room night charge during the period December 20 through January 2. Written cancellation received 61 days prior to the arrival date avoids forfeiture of advance payment/cancellation fee. Remaining balance is due (fifteen) 15 days prior to arrival date, nonrefundable. Cancellations received within 15 (fifteen) days of the arrival date forfeit full stay.

For reservations made through a Travel Agent of Travel Vendors:

  • PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR RESERVATIONS MADE THROUGH TRAVEL AGENT OR OUTSIDE TRAVEL VENDORS (i.e. Travelocity, Expedia, Sabre, Amadeus, etc):
    • Total, non-refundable payment is due 30 (thirty) days prior to arrival date and will be charged 30 (thirty) days prior to arrival date. Payment is non-refundable.
    • Charge will occur automatically to the credit card on file.
    • Total Balance is charged 30 (thirty) days prior to arrival date. Balance is nonrefundable.
    • Cancellations received within 30 (thirty) days of the arrival date forfeit full stay.

*Please Note: If credit card on file is declined at any point, the reservation will automatically be cancelled with no refund. Please be sure to contact us should a change to the credit card on file be needed.

When your reservation has been received, a reminder notice will be emailed to you within 72 hours to inform you of the credit card charge dates. Approximately 2 weeks prior to your arrival CHECK IN PROCEDURES will be emailed to you to facilitate your arrival. Check in procedures will ensure you will be able to access the inn and your room easily. Following the check in procedures will ensure you will be able to access the inn and your room easily. Please contact us if you have not received check in procedures a week prior to your arrival.

A Smoke Free Environment

Smoking is not allowed on the property except in designated areas. A $150 to $300 cleaning fee will be assessed for anyone smoking in a guest room. Hawaii state law prohibits smoking in enclosed and partially enclosed facilities and within 20 feet of doorways, windows and ventilation intakes for the prevention of secondhand smoke drifting into enclosed areas.

Overnight Guests

Only registered guests may stay in rooms overnight. If arriving at different times, only named guests will be permitted to check in. Please be sure to list each guest’s name with us.

Room Capacity

Room Capacity is fixed by the Maui Bed and Breakfast County Ordinance. By law, we are unable to make any exceptions. Please do not arrive with any additional guests, even children; we will not be able to accommodate you unless we have a room with a higher capacity available and this is rarely the case.

Parking

We have limited parking and permit one car per guest room. Please register your vehicle with us as only registered vehicles are allowed on the property overnight.

Check-In / Check Out

Check-in: 2:00 PM or later.
Check-out: 11:30 AM. – NO LATE CHECK OUTS. Please note we are unable to accommodate late checkouts for any reason. We are unable to store luggage for you. We can direct you to luggage storage near the airport.

Lost Keys

A $75.00 fee per key will be charged to the credit card on file for lost keys. We provide two (2) keys per set, a main entrance key and a room key. If the set is lost, the fee will be $150.00.

Children

Your children are your responsibility and should be under your supervision at all times.

NOTE: Rates/policies are subject to change. We will do our best to accommodate special requests.

Travel Agents

Please be aware that any reservation made through our website, www.mauiinn.com, is non-commissionable. Travel agents should reserve through your GDS or you may call the Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono directly.

Outside Vendor Reservations

Outside Vendor Reservations (i.e. Mendes Ranch, tours, activities) require payment be made directly by guest to vendor. We are unable to collect payment for these activities.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served promptly at 8:00 a.m., daily (seven days a week). You may request a continental breakfast as early as 7:00 a.m.; this is also served in breakfast room upstairs in the Main House.

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you’d like a continental breakfast OR if you won’t be joining us for breakfast at all. We are unable to provide breakfast in your room or any other in-room food service.
