While most venture to the Valley Isle for rest and relaxation, there are plenty of opportunities to let loose and party! First Friday Maui town parties are the way to go if you are looking for a fun and lively evening activity. The party moves around to five different towns on Maui (and one on the island of Lana’i), giving each celebration a small town feel that is community minded and kid-friendly. Experience First Friday Maui Town Parties
First Friday Wailuku
First Friday Wailuku kicks the month off with a bang along Main Street. Wander your way through the many authentic shops and stalls from 6 to 9 p.m. to find that perfect souvenir to bring back from paradise. Don’t forget to grab some food from one of the many vendors to fuel the fun! Then, check out Art on Market and Wailuku Coffee Company for an excellent selection of artwork (and some great Hawaiian coffee). Bands fill the street with live music and entertainment, and kids and adults enjoy activities ranging from lei-making tutorials to a showcase of classic cars and hot rods.
There is free parking at several locations around Wailuku, and select businesses open up their lots to the public for free. The live music, entertainment, and activities change at each party, so there is something new every time! Make sure to check the First Friday Maui website and Facebook page for updates on upcoming celebrations.
